My Grandfather was Clarence Gunning born in Moncton in 1902. His parents were William and Ida Gunning. William was a Railroad engineer and lived in a house right by the tracks. There were three other children Harold, George and Margaret. William was difficult to live with and in the 20's Ida, Clarence, Harold, Geogre and Margaret all moved to the States. Clarence moved to Boston
were he met my grandmother Irene Kenney. The rest moved to New York where one of the brothers, I think Harold, worked at Macy's.
When I visited my Great Grandfather William, with my grandparents, in the early 60's he lived with a housekeeper, kept liquor locked in a safe in the living room and would only turn on the hot if requested. If you have any information on any of these Gunnings please let me know - Thanks, Jerry Gunning
