I have the will of John Jeanes of Netherbury, Dorset, 1637 who names John Guppy of Whitechurch executor to his will.In 1665 another John Jeanes "in parts beyond the seas" died and the administrator of his estate was John Guppy.
I assume he is the son of John Jeanes who died 1637 and mentioned in the will.
My research shows a Guppy family in Somerset in the same area as the Jeanes family in Somerset, so I wondered if anyone knew if this John Guppy was in fact from the Somerset family.I don't know anything further about John Jeanes of Netherbury or of John Guppy of Whitechurch.I assume they were kin somehow.
I would sure think your John Guppy who married in Whitchurch was of the same family as the John Guppy I was looking at.If I remember correctly there is a PCC will for John Guppy that I never got around to purchasing.
