Not sure if you're still interested. Moses Gubtail, s/o Benjamin and Elizabeth Grant, bp, September 19, 1756, m. Sarah Pray, January 28, 1778, d/o Jonathon Pray. (There was a Moses Gubtail listed in "American Prisoners at Forton Prison, England;" a prize of the General Sullivan, O. committed to Forton Prison the 25th of April 1779. Five Children: Olive bp. August 16, 1782, m. Josiah Staples (N.E. Reg., v. 74, p. 230, 261); William bp. May 18, 1784, (N.E. Reg., v. 74, p. 222); John bp. September 18, 1786, (N.E. Reg., v. 74, p. 246); Anna bp. August 23, 1789, (N.E. Reg., v. 74, p. 246),m. Henry Hayden, October 26, 1811; Sarah bp. June 14, 1779, 2nd Ch. of Ber.

Moses is the 4th generation in the information I have.

re: John Gubtail/Lois Libby, I have additional information to what Tony Mundell gave you. John and Nathaniel's parents were Nathaniel III, bp. January 17, 1744, m. Hannah Keays, October 23, 1766, d/o William Keays and Mary Hodsdon. Nathaniel also married Sarah Lewis (date unknown). Nathaniel had nine children listed: John, Nathaniel IV, Mary, Lydia, James, William, Dorcus, Elizabeth and David.

My source is "Guptill Genealogy", by Mildred L. Jacobson, Ye Galleon Press, Fairfield, Washington, 1985.

Hope this was helpful. Email me at big_red_truck_1 at yahoo dot com if you want more info. Sorry for writing it out like that but the email harvesters will spam me to death, otherwise.
