In researching land records for Waterbury Vermont and probate records for Washington County VT,I have found various bits and piece on these Guptills.

In 1816 Humphrey Gubtail was appointed administrator for the estate of James Bryant(Briant) of Waterbury.

21 April 1830 Dan Guptail and Matilda his wife along with others sold land that was from the James Bryant estate.They(Guptails and most of the others) resided at Perrysburg,Cattaraugus,New York.

A Matilda Bryant was listed as an heir-at-law of the James Bryant estate.
