Mike, I believe Dan Guptail and Matilda, his wife, are the parents of my gggrandmother Ortensia Guptill. 1850 (19 yrs.old) & 1860 (28 yrs. old) Wisconsin Census she gave her place of birth as NY. The person listed with Dan Guptail (no children indicated)in the 1830 Perrysburg, Cattaraugus, NY Census may be Matilda. Would you have access to records that indicate Matilda died abt. 1831/1832? If so, is she buried in or near Perrysburg? She would have been Dan Guptail's first wife and maybe Ortensia was their only child. I have much more information about Daniel & Humphrey Guptail and I need to connect to the Guptails of Waterbury, VT where much of the Guptail history takes me.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
