Can't help on marriage or parents but there was a W. Gupton listed in 1850 census for Christian County.. He was 20, laborer, and enumerated with the Josiah B. Radford family. Born in Ky. Fenton did have a son 0-5 in the 1830 census but I didn't find him in the 1840 one. Fenton lived in Green Co. in 1830.
