Kathy I believe you have all the info I have. Also check with Melanie. General comments. Nerve may have been born in Nash County but he has always been enumerated in census in Franklin Co. He may have had some indian blood in him but if so it was a long way back and would have come from his mothers side. His ramblings were fairly common knowledge in the Wood N.C. area where he lived.One of Nerves daughters married a Hedgepeth and I believe they lived in the Rocky Mount area. Would lime more info on the Hedgepeth line if anyone willing to share. I have been collecting info on the Gupton side of my wifes family for some time and would like to fill in any data holes where possible. Contact me at
