Gene, my grandfather is Hugh Virgil, not Eugene. According to Ewing Gupton, brother/half brother to Ben, George, John, & Hugh, Robert Thomas b. 1961 was married 5 times. My grandfathers' mother, Ellen Claypool, died in 1913 when my grandfather, Hugh, was only 3 years old. I don't think she had 8 children.
