I am looking for information about my grandfather, Cheatham Winston Gupton. He was raised at Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, NC. His parents names may be Robert Winston Gupton and wife Bessie. My grandfather, Cheatham was born in 1918. He has a sister named Pauline. Everyone in question has passed on, so information is not coming easily. I was told by my father, R.W.Gupton, that when my grandfather enlisted in the Air Force, a representative(from Oxford Orphanage) gave him paperwork from his parents, I cannot verify this. If you know anything that may help,please email me.
