Hi!
My name is Kathy and my maiden name is Gupton. To make a very long and winding story short, here are the only facts (at least, I
think they're facts) I know:
My father was Jack Cooper Gupton, born
in Nash County on or around April 3,1916
to Beatrice Raynor (not sure of last name). He was one of three sons. The
tricky part of this is that Beatrice was the mistress of Nerve Gupton, who lived
with his wife and "legitimate" family in
Nash County.

I don't really have any information other than this. My father was always very
embrassed by his family background and he
never talked about it to us. We barely knew
his mother. We did, however, know his two
brothers.

I have always had couriosity concerning my
roots on the Gupton side. However, out of respect to my dad, no one ever really drilled
him about his past as it seemed to be a very
painful subject for him.

If you have any information that you think would be useful to me, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thank you.
