Betty ~ Thanks for the rundown on the family branches. I had not seen it organized so well. My Grandfather, Sidney Lewis Gupton, was born in Franklin County circa 1851. I had not donen any studying of the family tree until my son Guy III appeared on the GE College Bowl for Vanderbilt in the late 1960s. I received a message from Ruby May Perry from near Rocky Mount, NC asking for some information on my part of the family. I gave her waht little I knew, then she filled me in with all the data back to the arrival of William in Old Rappahannock County, VA in 1622. Lately, Hal Taylor has filled in some more data and answered some more questions that I had. You folks are to be commended for doing such a great job. I am now the head of the Montana branch, having moved out from Atlanta several years ago.
