There are several different books on the descendants of Charles Guss who came from Germany in 1832. Some of them are still in manuscript form, available in Salt Lake City, including "My Wife's Family". There are a couple of other ones that have been microfilmed. The microfilms are available to order through the Family History Center system. To find out how to do that, go to and it will tell you the process of ordering.
This is the information for one of these microfilms:

Microfilm of manuscript (typescript, 45 p.), at Chester County Historical Society, West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Descendants of Charles Guss, genealogy, 1732-1916.
Guss family and those related by intermarriage VAULT US/CAN Film 860455

If anyone needs help on how to get this information, I will be happy to help.
