No kin.. but my line has a 5-page Petition for Dower which was signed August 1848. Your David L. HOYLE is mentioned. He was in the 1840 census - but in 1850 was in Mississippi, Pontotoc Co. "Your petition further states that her said husband in his lifetime was possessed of the following tracts of land for which he held and his heirs still hold the title Bond of one David L. Hoyle and for and on account of the purchase and consideration of said land the said husband of your petition paid six hundred dollars leaving a balance due on said hereinafter mentioned tracts of three hundred dollars: 1st the east half of the south west quarter of section ten, in fractional township seven of range four east in the district of lands subject to sale at Lebanon Alabama containing eighty 10/100ths acres. 2nd the north west quarter of the north west quarter of section ten in fractional township seven of range four east in the district of lands subject to sale at Lebanon Alabama containing forty 5/100ths acres. 3rd: the west half of the south east quarter of section ten in fractional township seven of range four east in the district of lands subject to sale at Lebanon Alabama containing eighty 10/100ths acres. 4th: The south west quarter of the south west quarter of fractional section three in fractional township seven of range four east in the district of lands subject to sale at Lebanon Alabama containing forty acres. 5th: the east half of the north west quarter of section ten, in fractional township seven of range four east of lands subject to sale at Lebanon Alabama containing eighty 10/100ths acres.
