Hello, I am new to the site and my name is John D. Haag. My great grandparents came to the US from Germany in the early 1800's. I am going to Germany on a business trip in two weeks and I have found a city by the name of Haag not far from Munich, Germany in the Bavarian portion of the country. I will be working in Stollberg which is about 1 hour from Haag. I will make it a point to stop and visit and let you all know very soon what it is like and a little about the people and history of the name and town. If anyone is interested in this let me know at john2208us@yahoo.com and I will be happy to talk about this great family name that we have in common. I will post my findings on the site when I am there and will take plenty of photos to document "our town"!!!
