The name Haak could be coming from The Netherlands and means hook indeed. In our country are different branches of the family name Haak. My oldest known ancestor was Albert Jans, who died in 1775 and lived in the NE of The Netherlands (Onstwedde). When you Google the internet, you'll find the name also in the SW (Zeeland), but also in Germany, Belgium, France and even Croatia.
