Hello, Brenda,
do you have any idea where Gustav Haak was from in Germany?

My Haak ancestors' home was in West Prussia, to be more precise in Tuchel, Kreis Tuchel > Richnau, Kreis Thorn (later Kreis Briesen) > Bielsk, Kreis Briesen > Rheinsberg, Kreis Briesen and Schönsee, Kreis Briesen. After WW I my greatgrandmother Bertha Louise Uecker, widowed Treichel, née HAAK,and family left West Prussia for the province of Brandenburg because wide parts of W. Prussia were taken over by the Poles, and they did not like to become Poles.
No idea what happened to the other members of the Haak family.

Maybe there is a connection. If so let me know. Thank you.
Greetings from Germany,

Willi
