Michelle,
I have a copy of William's death certificate and it identifies his father as Heinrich Haase. Fredericka did not know his mother's maiden name.
Also, I think I have identified the actual town where William was born. The town is called Steimbke but has also been known as Steneke, Steineke, Steimbike and Steimke. This is in line with some information Margie Hutchins (Louise Buchholz's daughter) showed me that said Stenka and his obituary which had it listed as Stimka. The town is located north of Hannover not far from the town of Nienburg.
