Nicholas Schmidt was born 29 Sep 1811 in Trier, Kingdom of Prussia and died 19 Dec 1887 in the Town of Richfield, Washington, WI. His wife, Maria was born about 1814 in the Kingdom of Prussia. She died in Dec 1853 in the Town of Richfield, Washington, WI. They are both buried in St. Augustine Cemetery. They had seven children. The third child, Maria Dorothy Schmidt, was born 17 Mar 1838 in Trier, Kingdom of Prussia. She died 25 Sep 1875 in the Town of Richfield. Maria married Johann Diedrich Habach on 17 Apr 1864 in St. Augustine Catholic Church. Johann Diedrich Habach was born 16 Mar 1831 in Germany/Prussia. He died 9 Apr 1907 in Mayville, Dodge, WI. They had eight children. The third child, Maria Habach, was born 23 Mar 1868 in the Town of Richfield, Washington, WI. and died 12 Sep 1950 in Waukesha, Waukesha, WI. She married Johann Peter Gallitz on 23 Jul 1889 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slinger, Washington, WI. Johann Peter Gallitz was born 22 Sep 1860 in the Town of Richfield and died 31 Jan 1917 in Waukesha, Waukesha, WI. Johann Peter and Maria Habach Gallitz had nine children.
Johann Peter and Maria Habach Gallitz were my grandparents.
