Or was I missunderstanding?(If you can get a copy of her death cert) You need the info the Cementary has so you can go forward(sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward)I know it seems wired. You may want to get a copy of her birth cert, I know you don't know the state she was born in, but start with the state she grew up in its might be a 70/30 shot. Check out the www.familysearch.org web page and look under Social Security Death Index-It will tell you all the places that # was used at. It may not seem that tis will get you very far, but you will be amazed at what you learn. Just don't expect answers over night, sometimes you get answers to questions you haven't asked yet.
