Hi Bree- I had talked to your mom and I believe you about two years ago when my dad was looking for your dad, to notify him about their mom. I will tell you all I know- I hope it is helpful.
Your dad, Bill (my favorite Uncle when I was a kid- only saw him every so often when he was traveling)- he has two brothers and one sister. My dad is John Haberland, then their is Jim and Helen.
Jim Haberland is married to Barbara Haberland and they have six kids- they are the only Haberland's I have ever known. Jim and Barb live here in Las Vegas, and one of their sons, Chris does as well. Then there is Doug (never know where he is), Debbie (Married lives in Florida), Teresa (married lives in Texas), Cheryl (who knows anymore), Chris (lives here), and Tina (just moved to Pioche, Nevada with her family).
Helen never did marry or have any children, she lives in a nursing facility here in Las Vegas. Jim takes care of her. I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with her- but she was born with some handicaps, physically and mentally. She did live on her own, until she just couldn't manager anymore.
My dad and Bill are alot alike on personality (I think). I have one brother, Mike Haberland he lives in Texas. I have lived her all of my life, my dad is also in Texas now. I remember your story a little bit- when you were trying to find Bill years and years ago. Last time I had talked to you, he lived near you somewhere near Tahoe?
