My grandmother was a Haberman and grew up in Steele County, Minnesota (near Owatonna). I know there were relatives with the first name of Wencl. I have a Steele County plat book from about the time period you're asking about. You can also find quite a bit of info on the Steele County web site http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnsteele/ I know there were a number of Habermans in the Summit and Somerset townships.
