Could her name have been Ella Fosler? The Ella Haberman born September 5, 1870 is a relative of mine. In our family tree book, there is a story about Ella. She was chosen to be the Queen in the town of Leola. In 1961 she received the Pioneer Citizen Award, Dakota Teritory 1861-1961 Centennial.

Our family tree is as follows:

John Haberman born in Austria. Family settled near Waterloo, Wisconsin. He had three brothers, Joseph, Rudolph and Bernard. John and Joseph served in the Army during the Civil War and were in Sherman's March to the Sea. Later, they came to live in SD. Their parents and qudolph and Bernard died while still quite young. There is also a mention of Emil, the doctor son of John and Rosa and George and Fred have visited with cousins still living in Wisconsin.

John and Rosa Haberman's Children:

Joseph, William, Edward, Ella, Nellie, Anna, John, Emil, Ernest, Max, George, Zeno and Fred.
