Seeking information on Ansel Haberstock born ca 1859 Germany. Apparently immigrated during the 1880's, possibly with his brother Conrad. By 1892 Ansel was in Walla Walla, WA as he married Minnie/Nina THOENY. My g-grandfather Chris Thoeny was one of the witnesses. Minnie was born about 1860 in Switzerland. Supposedly Minnie and Chris were related, but we aren't sure how.
Minnie died in 1908, but had no issue. Ansel remarried in late 1908 to Rose/Rosa MANY/MANG, born ca 1875 Switzerland. The family story is that Rose was possibly Minnie's niece.
Ansel and Rose had possibly 3 children, Mary b. May 1909, Marie ca 1911, and Joseph b 30 July 1913. It appears that Mary died young and Marie became a nun. Joe stayed in the Walla Walla area and possibly had issue. He died in Spokane, WA in 1999.
Rose apparently died before 1920 as on the 1920 census Ansel is married to a woman by the name Anna who was born in Wisconsin about 1875. They did not have any known issue.
Unknown where and when Ansel died.
We would like to know more about all these people and possibly locate some of Joe's descendents.
