Hi Sandra. I don't have too much information for you, but here is what I do know. I have the same 1910 census you have seen and the same articles from the Lyons Progress. Louis B. (lewis B.) Hackel/Hackle was born 30 June 1872 in Emanuel Co, GA. His parents were Tolbert Edward Hackle/Heckel and Sarah Jane McKinsey. He marrie Carrie N (not sure if that is middle initial or initial of maiden name about 1896 in GA as the 1910 census says they were married 14 years. We have not found any natural children of this union. Solomon J. Roland was Carrie's son-in 1910 she is listed as having only one child as of 1910. I have not found them in the 1900 census which might give a little more information. There appear to be other children living with them in 1910 in addition to Solomon including Willie Tolie, MU listed as son, Jese M. Branch, 2, listed as adopted daughter and Carrie L. Bikes, 2/12, listed as a daughter. In the 1920 census in Telfair Co, there are no children in the household. In the 1930 Telfair Co census, there are 3 grandchildren listed, likely the children of Solomon J. Roland. Luis died 29 Oct 1931 in Telfair Co GA and is buried in Oakland Cem, Telfair Co.

Carrie was b. 11 Jan 1869 and marrie {?} Roland before 1889 as son Solomon was born about 1889. She died 2 Aug 1961 in Telfair Co and is buried at Oakland Cem, Telfair Co.

I have no information on the John Odom, mentioned in 1911 newspaper blurb indicating Louis and Carrie lived on his place. This John Odom is not in my database. I do have a John A. Odom, whose parents were Morris N. Odom and Amanda Hackel, but I do not have a wife for him, so unable to say if this is the John married to another Roland. Sorry I don't have any more information, but maybe this little bit will help you track this couple down.
