Dear Agnie:

Don't suppose this will be much use to you however, it does give you the name and place. I suppose an 1851 Census might help you find the family. They are not related to me but there is a strong possiblity that they are due to the given names.

James Haddow, Lanark Scotland married Janet who was born abt 1834 in Carluke, Glasgow, Lanark

They had five children
John b abt 1834
William b abt 1834 (twins?)
Robert b. abt 1839
Janet b abt 1841
THOMAS b. abt 1844 Carluke
Andrew b abt 1844
Isabella Bt abt 1847 all born in Carluke.

If you are near a FHC you should try the Scottish Church Records. All these Haddows were born before Scottish Civil Registry.

I copied this when I first started (abt 11 yrs ago) and I did not make a note of where I gathered this information. Sorry.

Irene Esson, West Vancouver, BC Canada
