My great grandfather was James Haddow, married Marion Watson April 30, 1868 at the Parish of Douglas Scotland. They had 7 children 1. Agnes Alexander born June 18, 1868, 2. Janet Stewart March 16 1870, 3. Isabella Watson May 15m 1872, 4. David Gibson February 9, 1974, 5. John Watson May 13, 1876, 6. Mary December 11, 1879. 7. (my grandfather Robert W. - All born in Carstairs District. In the 1891 census my grandfather is listed as 8 years old, living in Dennistown, Glasgow. Is it possible since the dates of your John Haddow are related to my great grandfather (brothers) with my great grandfather James as their marriage dates are close - yours 1862 and mine 1868. Possibly James Haddow's son John was named after your John Haddow. Also, my father was John Watson Haddow born 1918. My Grandfather Robert W. is burried in Carlin Cemetery in Nevada after emigrating to Canada. He worked for the railroad in Scotland and then came to Canada first and then the U.S.A. Don't know if there's a connection here, but you don't know unless you ask. Thanks very much.
