When I first started doing this research in the 1970s, I recieved a letter from a woman who is a distant realtive. She must have been born about 1880.She said there is a Carr family bible in the family.Daniel Carr married Amy Hadsell. This bible says that after the Wyoming Valley Massacre that Daniel Carr and his wife went back to Rhode Island.Daniel had been captured by the Indians at Wyoming valley and didn't return for 7 years. There would have been nothing left after the battles and the war. They went back to RI where their children were born.I only know of 2 children and presume there were more. It is very probable that the rest of the Hadsell siblings also returned to their place of origin.James Hadsell Carr (son of Amy and Daniel) told stories to his grandson, Wesley Wellington Clifford Carr, of mowing the salt grass in Rhode Island. Wesley was born 1855 and James Hadsell Carr Sr. was born about 1790.
