Hello Jennifer,

Not sure I can be much help. My father born in Jacksonville florida and was adopted by the Haft,s from New York. Grandmother apparently owned an opera house in New York and I used to have a lot of picture, but no more. Also, I am pretty sure Haft is an English, not German name. Believe it originated from people that made ax, shovels and other implement handles (hafts).

Oh well, just surfing and came upon this and thought I would let you know what I knew. Good luck in your search. Let me know if you are successful in finding any into. Who knows, we could be related?

Regards/Roger Haft
