ISAAC HAGERMAN 1773-1831 PORT HOPE CANADA
Posted by: Leslie Wilson (ID *****1847) Date: January 19, 2003 at 19:37:32
  of 630

Isaac Hagerman b 1773 NY d 1831 Hope Twp Durham County Upper Canada (Ontario). He was the son of Christopher Hagerman & Elizabeth Cooper of NY and Northumberland County Upper Canada. He married ca 1806 Mary McElmoyle.

In 1812 Isaac and his family moved from Hamilton Twp Northumberland County to Hope Twp (the twp immediately to the west of Hamilton)

If you are descended from Isaac Hagerman you may be interested in an event that is taking place this year
in Port Hope Ontario Canada. On June 07 2003 the landing (by tall ship) of the first settlers in Hope Twp (Jun 07 1793) is being re-enacted, complete with ship and appropriately costumed people. Several families are planning to use this event as a sort of family reunion. All and sundry are welcome of course, but Hope Twp is especially anxious to see, meet and greet descendants whose ancestors were 1793 to 1813 residents. If you'd like further information concerning this event, contact the poster of this message, or if you're not sure whether or not you are a descendent of Isaac, I'll try to help you with that too.
