Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I tried to e-mail you direct, but it came back, so I will shorten my message. Your Hagerman Shields would be about two generations removed from my John Shields and Jane Hagerman, but becasue of the name I think there is a strong possibility of a relationship. John and Jane had 5 boys, 2 girls: William, Barnet, Henry, David, Joseph,
Jemima and Mary. Mary m William McClure, 1789/1790 age 14, consent signed by her widowed Mother. I can give you no definite birthdates. John Shields was in the Rev War, enlisting from Berks Co., Pa. He and his family later moved to Augusta Co., Va. where he d 1779. Jemima m a Mr. Thompson and they lived in Tn., I believe Blount Co. Son William's first wife's name was Mary, Henry m Elizabeth Mitchell. No info on the other boys. When Mary's husband died (1814) she went to Tenn with her children to be near her brothers. I hope some of this will give you a clue.
