The research that I have quoted was done by Jane L. Gibson of Chelmsford, MA in cooperation with my father. (I do not have a current address for her.) Dates were confirmed by entries in the family Bible. The references were: Genealogy from Elva Mooers Walsh, granddaughter of John J. and Sarah J. (Manuel) Hagerman. Hagerman complex information from King’s Landing. Research of the Hagerman family by David Stephens. Genealogy of the Hagermans by Reverend Murray M Manuel. 1851 census. Bear Island Cemetery gravestones. Marriage Registers microfilm F 1248, F 635, F 137. I was attending the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton at the time of the Mactaquac Project, and made frequent visits to Bear Island during the relocation of the cemetery. Bear Island and the riverside homesteads are now under water. There is a photo reproduction of a painting of Bear Island and the river before Mactaquac in the Other Art section of my website. There is also a photo of a model house that resembles the home of Captain John Hagerman that was destroyed before the area was flooded. I can remember looking through the hand cast glass windows. http://homepage.mac.com/leolash Perhaps you can supply the date of death for Benjamin C? Douglas Notify Administrator about this message?
