Looking for family of Charles Hagerman. Charles was living in the St. Louis, Missouri "Episcopal Orphan Home" in 1911. According to the census records he was born April 1889 in Missouri, his parent were born in Germany. I don't know who his father was but think his mother could have been Annie Hagerman. Charles died in February of 1927 so his son's barley knew him. The story goes as this according to Charles Hagerman's son Robert. His mother had sissors in her hand when she went to pick Charles up and poked him in the eye. I'm not sure where Charles father was but his mother couldn't handle what had happened to Charles, he lost his eye because of the accident. Charles mother was declared insane and Charles was put into the Orpanage. In 1910 Charles was living with the William McFall family in Cooper County, Saline Twp., Missouri. He was listed as being 19 and still had the last name of Hagerman. Were not sure if he was leagally adopted by the Mcfall's or if he just took the Mcfall name.

There is an Annie Hagerman in the 1900 St. Louis County, Missouri census records. Annie is living in the "City Poor House" and is listed as being insane. Annie is from Switzerland and was born in 1865. We don't know if this is his mother or not.

If anyone knows anything about this Hagerman family please email me. Charles Hagerman Mcfall's son Robert and his grandchildren would love to know more about the family.

Indep., Mo.
