Thank you, Margaret.

Do you have a copy of the Monmouth County map that you would be willing to share?

According to the Book of the the Dead of Monmouth, NJ, in the section on Shark River, Trap, or Hamilton Churchyard, there is a headstone there for "Hagerman, George L., d. Jul 25, 1855, in his 40th year."

Several of his descendants also died of consumption, in the 20th century. How did you know his cause of death?

I have no new information at all on George's parents, unfortunately. All I had was the information from the 1860 census, listing the widow Eliza's household. Our focus until now has been on George and Eliza's son George Edgar Hagerman, b. b. 25 Dec. 1847, in NJ, d. died 18 Dec., 1904, in Rocky Point, L.I., and his descendants.

Best Regards,

Larry Wesson
