William Haggard of Stewart County, TN
As far as I can determine, the William Haggard who lived in Stewart County, TN, in the early 1800s was the son of Gray and husband of Rosanna Nowell (married 1788 in Kentucky). Many researchers say that this William Haggard died about 1823 and is buried in Clarksville, Montgomery, Tennessee.I am only prepared to believe this death date if someone gives me proof that this particular William Haggard (born about 1761) died about 1823.Where is the proof?Someone named William Haggard may have died in 1823 and may be buried in Clarksville, Montgomery, Tennessee.I have every reason to believe that the William Haggard in question lived in Pickens County, AL, in 1830.The primary question is:Who is the William Haggard who lived in Pickens County, AL, in 1830?If anyone can help with this mystery, please respond to this post.
