more background information:

Carl Eric Johanson was his given name, when they migrated to SF/Oakland area, at the turn of the century, they changed the family name to Hagstrom,(his mother's maiden name) so that they could receive their mail and have family contact them. At the time, there was not many Hagstrom's in the US.
Carl Eric was a young man when they arrived in Oakland.

The family also started a church in Oakland.

I have to find the box with the vital info and dates for better information.
