If it will help you any, there was an A. M. Halbert that owned 140 acres of land southwest of Cross Timbers, Hickory Co., MO in 1880. Also there is a Halbert buried in the Walker/Wright Cem. just northeast of Cross Timbers, Hickory Co., MO, but I don't have my cemetery list available right now.
My 2nd great grandfather, Anderson Hodges is buried at the Walker/Wright Cem. also and I had always wondered about the Halbert buried there because my mother's family are Halbert's and I descend from the same William Halbert that the other person that answered you posting does. Except I go down through John, Joel's brother.
Hope some of this helps you.
Gerald
