James Halbert and Jacobina Tinto
Posted by: Colin Whitehead (ID *****0773) Date: April 14, 2011 at 19:57:45
  of 732

James and Jacobina had 4 children in Scotland betwen 1880 and 1888, Helen must have died young as Jacobina with daughters Jane Smith, Mary Allen Tinto and Agnes Gardiner Halberts arrived 29 October 1888 on the Devonia.
1900 census finds them at Red Lodge town, Carbon, Montana
additional children Jyles, Janet, Isabell, James born in Iowa, Richard and Martha born in Montana
Can't find famiily on 1910 census ?
1919 the widow Jacobina Halbert married Thomas Curry at Billings Montana
1920 and 1930 censuses Thomas and Jacobina are at Kirby, Hot Springs, Wyoming, none of her children show with her?
Jyles at least survived as her death was recorded in 1960 at Seattle, King, Washington, married surname Barber.
Hoping some one has knowledge of the other children?
Regards Colin
