I have a great deal of information on the Halfacres from Newberry District, SC. Beatrice b c 1873 Louisville, MS; had 5 children with Charles Brister. Her father Romeo Halfacre was born May 1849 in newberry Co, SC; married Josephine Connor 19 Aug 1870 in Winston Co, MS. Romeo was son of Henry Leonard Halfacre (c 1829 SC - ? MS) and Sarah C, Maffett (c 1824 SC - c 1851 SC) Henry and Sarah married about 1848 - she died just 3 years later, and Henry married her sister Nancy Maffett 14 Aug 1853 in Winston Co, MS. Henry Leonard and Nancy had a dau Henrietta. Henry Leonard was s/o David Halfacre (01 Dec 1804 SC - 23 Dec 1877) and Susannah Suber. David was s/o Henry Halfacre and Elizabeth Suber. Henry was born 1776 in Shenandoah, VA, son of immigrant Jacob Halfacre, who brought family over from Rhine River District of Germany in about 1770, first to Philadelphia, then moving to Shenandoah, VA about 1774, where Henry born, finally to Newberry District in SC by 1780.
