Have just started doing research on Harris family for DAR entry. Our family history has Garret Harris coming to Indiana, from Virginia via Ohio, with his first wife Elizabeth Thompson and their 5 children-Patsy, Robert, Amanda, Mary, and Drusilla. Our records have her dying in about 1835(Elizabeth)in Indiana. We have Julia and Charles marrying in Indiana. We then have Julia and Garret having two sons-Nathaniel and Charles(born in 1837). There are no other records of Julia that I can find. She is not listed with the family in any census. Garret is my ggggrandfather, and I am descended through Charles, his youngest child. I live about 3 miles from where Garrett is buried, but can find nothing of Julia.
Not sure where this information was gathered, or by whom. I have a homemade book that someone printed up about the Harris family. Let me know if you have found any new information.
