I know that Nicholas Haller you are referring to was the son of Michael & Christine Kirsch Haller. Michael & Christine came to America, New York specifically in between 1846 & 1851. They brought their nine children with them and settled in Bennington, NY for a few years. They then went on to Burlington, Des Moines Co., IA Michael was born Abt 1806 in Alsace-Lorraine, Germany and died in Burl. in 1883. Christine was born abt 1810 in Alsace-Lorraine and died in Burl. in 1866. Nicholas occupation was a cooper [barrel maker]. He and Nancy Cook Haller had 8 children. Donna at [email protected]
