Hi David, I have just found out that the Halton family date back to 1345 and come from Cumberland in England. The line we are descended from is that of Will de Halton. Halton Manor was part of the Duchy of Lancaster. Widnes. UK now is the town that was built on the manor lands. Hope this helps. Penny
