Costello, Mary (*1837 - ) - female
spouse: Holton, John (*1833 - )
-child:HaltonOrHolton,Mary Jane(1868- 1921)

The daughter, Mary Jane, was born in Galway, Ireland and came out to Queensland, Australia. She was buried in Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, in a pauper's grave.

Does anyone know anything about this lady please? She was my great-grandmother.

She was the second wife of James Henry Macnish ( m 1891 in Cairns ) and I have heard she was a barmaid but some family members deny this. She went back to Ireland seeking a legacy which did not eventuate and three children were left in Australia, one with relatives and two in an orphanage.
