I have unearthed a Thomas Halton (b. 1773) married to an Elizabeth Dobinson in 1815 and she died in 1883. BUT I think his parents were William Halton(b. 1739) and Isabella Taylor (d.1867). At this time they lived in Carlisle. Is this close enough?
