Gerald: Truthfully, I don't know! The John Fulks and Elizabeth Hambrick were ancestors of my mother..whose Kirkland, Fulks, Derrick and Kennemer ancestors settled Honeycomb Valley of Marshall Co, AL. See Fulks Point of Gunter Mountain..an early Dutch settlement known as Fulks Community.. and Hambrick Hollow, and area near the Guntersville Dam on the Tennessee River.
The other Hambricks, Mary Ann, etc. were most likely children of Joseph Viers Hambrick and Greenberry Hambrick. Joseph settled in the Upper Hurricane Creek Valley of Madison County. I think he may have been a conscription officer during the War Between the States. Greenberry Hambrick, his brother, settled just over the line in Jackson Co, AL.. Descendants of Henry Edwards 1750 NC- died after 1830 Madison Co, AL..married into these Hambrick lines repeatedly.
I know very little regarding the Marshall Co, AL Hambricks, but I assume they are related to the early Madison/Jackson Co, AL ones. The Hodges are closely related to the Kennemer-Derrick pioneers of Kennemer's Cove.
Mary A Hambrick is buried at the Baker Cemetery, off Upper Hurricane Creek Road, near New Market. If she was old Joseph Hambrick's wife, I thought she would have been buried beside him..in the small Hambrick Family Cemetery-in the middle of a cotton field, (while the Baker Cemetery is up on a high hill).. guess we will never know all the answers!
I would love to know who the parents of Elizabeth Hambrick Fulks were! Any ideas appreciated! Both Fulks Point and Hambrick Hollow still appear on Marshall Co, AL maps.
