It is likely that Wilma was related to Green Hambright who was a grandson or Great-Grandson of Frederick Hambright of Lincoln Co NC and York Co SC. Frederick was from Germany it is thought, and gained fame as a local militia Colonel at the Battle of King's Mountain. There are several articles available on Frederick and his descendants. Green Hambright was likely born in NC or SC and migrated to Madison Co Ala by about 1820. It appears he returned to Lincoln Co NC for a time then settled in Casa Ark for at least a while. When my GG-Grandfather Ezekiel Campbell passed away in about 1874 in Casa, Green Hambright was mentioned in papers related to the settlement of E G Campbell's estate.
I may be related to Green Hambright since the G in Ezekiel G Campbell's name is said to stand for Green. Also, it appears that both E G Campbell and Green Hambright were in Madison Co Ala at the same time.
An Adam Campbell married a Hambright in Madison Co Ala, but I don't know how Adam is related to my Campbells.
Hope this helps. If you have any comments I look forward to hearing from you. Regards and Good 'Searching. Lewis Campbell
