Hello Colonel Frederick Hambright cousins!

Am writing to let you know that we are in the process of publishing a current book for the Hambright family for Col. Frederick Hambright of North Carolina. If you are a member of this family (or suspect that you might be) please contact us with your current family information so that it can be included in the new publication.

Marjorie Gossage (the historian for the Hambright family) and Rebecca Kohout (helper at will) are collecting and sorting the data. We have divided it in two categories: those who descend from the Colonel and Sarah Hardin, and those who descend from the Colonel and Mary Dover. While we are aware that some of you may be from both lines, it would be helpful if you would contact Marjorie ( for the Mary Dover line, and Rebecca ( for the Sarah Hardin line.

While we do not have a publication date set as yet, we are working hard and fast on this and are counting on YOU to supply the information for the most recent generations. If you can go to the Hambright web site ( and verify your information,, it would be helpful. When you see holes, please contact us and let us know how you fit into the puzzle.

If you are NOT a descendant for Colonel Frederick Hambright, but you are from the Pennsylvania cousins, please contact us anyway with your information. We are also considering expanding the publication to include all of us!

Please don’t wait to get your information in ‘order’ before you contact us. We may be able to assist you with finding your line and getting your family ducks in a row….
