I'd concentrate on the Paquet, Riel and Trottier genealogies. We know Francois Hamelin (1659) was French, as was Jacques Aubert, and that Marie-Madeleine Aubert was a filles du roi, also from France. If there's Indian blood in this line, it would have to be from there forward, obviously. I think you might be looking for something that, in the Francois line, is pretty unusual. More of Louis' descendants got into the fur trade, and thus took Indian wives in the west.
