My 6-Grandfather was Francois Hamelin, we have his DOD as Oct. 20,1725,but yours could be correct.His son Joseph b: 1699 in Grondines,D July,08,1747 Married Madeline Aubert b. 1641-1668 d. une 03,1742. Married Apr.07,1731 in Q. Canada. Their son Joseph b:1699 in Grondines married Madeline Trotier b:1709 in Ste. Anne diP,C, Quebec0n April 7,1731. Their son Joseph was born 12 Feb. 1732 in Deschambault, Canada and Married Marie Landry 25Nov. 1768. Their son Franscois-Joseph was my 3-Grandfather, b: 17 July 1775 in Grondines Married Marie Elizabeth Trottier b:2 Jan. 1774, on 17 Jul.1792. Marie Trottier was born in Ste Anne dip.
Their sonwas my Great Grandfather Narisse Theopil b: 20 Oct. 1847 in Grondonines,d: 5Feb.1932 in Hurley,Iron Wisconsin. He married Julie Cloutierb:About 1857 in Canada and d:29 Mar,1881 in Sommerset.SC.Wisconsin. They had a son Joseph Bernard Hamlin [e was removed from name @ his birth} and two daughters,Delphine and Lavina. After Julie's death Narcisse remarried, Arthemise Hardy and had
6 more children. Joseph was my Grandfather and he left home and joined the Calvary at 15. He did not get along with the stepmother. His two sisters were sent to an ophange when Joseph was old enough to take care of himself. Joseph served in the Phippines, the Boxer rebellion, Cuba, and WW1, then retired and Married Corinne Matilda Parrish of Lynchburg, VA. Their oldest son was my Father Joseph Bernard Jr., Another son Alan Parrish Hamlin followed along with a sister Beverly Christine. My Granfather died in 1933, they had moved to Riverside,CA. Alan and Beverly are still living as is my older Brother Joseph Alan. My younger brother died in 1982. Please let me know how you are related to Franscois and where you are now.
