New Hampshire Hamelins

My lead in New Hampshire went up in smoke. Ah, well. If you have access to NH death records, you might see if my hobo Joe Kit turns up there. There has to be a death certificate SOMEWHERE, sometime after 1932.

I'm still trying to find two of his nephews, A.R. (Alexander Roderick) and Walter E. Ham(e)lin -- two of Alexander Hamlin's kids, who were alive and well in Lynn, MA, in 1909, aged 36 and 31, and don't appear in the 1910 census, nor do they turn up anywhere after that. Their father (1846-1909) was my grandfather's older brother, and the first of our family to resettle in California. As he did this at the age of 57, riding a train through country that could still be classified as dangerous, the guy has fascinated me for his moxie, and I've concentrated on finding his family.

It keeps me out of the bars.
