Depending on when he was born, your great-grandfather, Delphos Amnah may have been Dolphis/Dolphus Hamelin, who was my grandfather's older brother, and the second child born to Augustin Hamelin, Jr. and Amelia Vanasse. It is just incredible how badly names were butchered by the census takers.I believe it was in the 1906 census that our family name, Hamelin, got changed to Emilen by an enumerator named Matthew Cook.Augustin Hamelin eventually became known as Gus Emblau/Emblaw, but my mother's father used the spelling Emblau.Adolph, as he was named in the 1906 census, was listed as being eight years old, so he was probably born in 1898.Here is the link to the page where I got my information:

There were a lot more children after Mary, who was an infant at the time, and whom I believe my mother, Rosemary, was partially named after. If you were still looking for assistance, I sincerely hope that this information has helped you.If I am telling you "old news", I would be interesting in knowing if we are actually related or not.
